License Renewal

Courses for every state

Massage Therapy CE Requirements by State

Massage therapists in the United States are generally required to complete continuing education (CE) to renew their licenses or certifications. The Modality Hub courses are created to meet the needs for each state. Your state specific required topics (such as ethics or culture) may not be available in our course list, yet! NCBTMB notes that board-approved CEs are widely accepted by state licensing authorities, but each state board sets its own renewal rules, including the number of hours needed and any required subject areas such as ethics, laws/rules, or safety topics. Because requirements can change, always confirm the current rule on your state’s official website before renewing. For more information reference the list below that includes state resources, required hours and and state specific topics. Never stop learning!

“How do i know if these courses are accepted by my state?”

Our courses are designed to meet the renewal requirements for each state!

Massage therapy renewal requirements can change, and some boards also impose separate rules for ethics, jurisprudence, live instruction, or approved providers. Before you complete any CE or submit your renewal, verify the most current requirements directly with your state board or official licensing website.
