The Modality Hub Policies

1. Attendance & Participation Policy

Full attendance and active participation are required to receive NCBTMB Continuing Education (CE) credits. For this online course, attendance is verified through LearnDash login records and completion of all course interactive elements, including videos, quizzes, and discussion prompts. Students must be logged in for the full duration of the course hours. Partial credit will not be awarded.

2. Instructor No-Show & Technical Failure Policy

In the unlikely event of an instructor no-show or a major technical failure on the provider’s end (e.g., server outage or instructor internet loss), the course will be republished within 7 business days. Registered students will be notified via email immediately. If a student cannot complete the reposted course, a full refund or credit toward a future course will be provided. We are not responsible for technical issues originating from the student’s hardware or internet connection.

3. Inclement Weather Policy (Live-Virtual)

While our courses are published online, severe weather in the instructor’s region may occasionally cause power or internet outages. If the instructor is unable to correct the issue with a published course, we will follow the ‘Technical Failure’ protocol: the course will be republished within 7 days, and all participants will be notified via the email used during registration.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Students may cancel their registration and request a full refund (minus a $20 administrative fee) within 3 days of registration as long as a course has not been initiated. Cancellations made within the same day are eligible for a 50% refund or full credit toward a future course. No refunds will be issued for ‘no-shows’ or for students who fail to meet the attendance requirements.

5. Technology Requirements

To participate, students must have a stable internet connection. Technical support is available by contacting the The Modality Hub during the following hours: Monday-Friday 6am to 5pm. Please ensure your Modality Hub profile is updated with your correct legal name for your Certificate of Completion.
